Goind Down Under

[:nl]Buiten ligt de temperatuur rond het vriespunt. Een strakblauwe lucht, een hartverwarmende zon die haar best doet wat warmte door te sturen en een rilling over m’n rug. Het is koud, te koud voor mijn lichaam maar ik sleep me door de koude winter heen. De euforie van het boeken van een ticket anderhalve week geleden is alweer weggezakt.[:en]The temperature outside is freezing. A bright blue sky, a heartwarming sun who tries to warm me up while the cold gives me the shivers. It’s cold, too cold for my body but I drag myself through winter as good as it gets.[:]

[:nl]Het leven wat ik kende is tot een einde gekomen en ik sta op een kruispunt. Ga ik links of ga ik rechts. Het internet is nieuw in Nederland en, in tegenstelling tot andere dingen in mijn leven, loop ik hiermee vooruit op de rest van Nederland. Ik maakte al websites toen anderen zich afvroegen wat dat dan eigenlijk was, dat internet.[:en]Life as I knew it came to an end and I am standing on a crossroad. Shall I go left or right? I am working as a webdesigner in which I am leading the way because the internet is new and not many people know how to work on the internet. Because I know my way around on the internet it’s very easy to keep in contact with my aunt and uncle in Australia. An e-mail is easier sent than a letter. While I am standing on the crossroad, I tend to go to Down Under but life pushes me in another direction and I stay. The 50 dollars goes into a special ‘someday’-box.[:]
